Meravanige – Navika – Austin 2023

Navika Convention is a great opportunity for all Kannadigas and Kannada Kootas to get together and showcase their talent as we celebrate the heritage of Karnataka through a variety of cultural activities. We the members of the Meravanige/ Procession Committee cordially invite you all to participate in the 2023 Navika Convention and be a part of our grand Meravanige celebrating “Samskruthika Vaibhava”. It will be an important event where you can show the spirit of Kannadigas and have great fun interacting with each other. Meravanige is the event where each and every Kannadiga attending Navika Convention can proudly participate and be part of creating a history of the highest Kannadiga participated event in the convention. Let us showcase the pride of being “Naavu Vishwa Kannadigaru” by being part to this grand, unique and spectracular MERAVANIGE specially planned and organized by our Meravanige Committe members for you all.

Meravanige Start Point: Behind Fire line near the swimming pool of the convention center

Note: Participants need to gather at the assigned starting point at 8:00 AM sharp.

Guidelines

All participants must be registered for the Navika Convention.
The participating Kannada Kootas should provide one coordinator to work with the current Meravanige committee.
Coordinate with the Meravanige committee to choose the theme from the planned list provided by Meravanige Committee and it will help to avoid duplication of displays.
Please coordinate with the Meravanige committee for props selection to avoid all political, religious, and other controversial props that convey negative and conflicting messages.
All expenses are to be borne by participants/participating kootas.
Please inform the number of participants in the meravanige before August 25th, 2023
The Display banners will be provided by the current Meravanige committee with participating Kannada Kootas or organization’s name and logo on it, if provided before Aug 3rd, 2023. Failure to provide the logo on time, the respective Kannada Sangha should bring their own banner to display during meravanige.
Please submit your theme and participation by August 3rd, 2023 through email to “NVKSmeravanige2023@gmail.com“
The Meravanige Committee will help the Kannada Kootas who need help with choreography, if they contact before July 30th, 2023.
All coordinators representing different Kannada Kootas and organizations will have to attend meetings and zoom training sessions conducted by Meravanige Committee.
